Gov Oshiomhole urges FG to establish Labour unemployment centres

 

Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo, has called on the Federal Government to establish labour unemployment centres across the federation.

Oshiomhole made the call on Tuesday in Abuja when he paid courtesy call on the Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige.

Sex workers allegedly staged attack on customers over unpaid charges in Delta

 

A mild drama played out in Delta state at the weekend when some commercial sex workers reportedly attacked their customers over unpaid bills.

In the cause of the brawl at a certain popular cable point base of commercial sex workers in Asaba, the state capital, it was said that the commercial sex workers had resolved to increase their charges and had warned their customers who do not want to comply to steer clear of them but this was not to be as the victims claimed they were not put in the know of the new charges.

Dele Momodu, on Monday night, reacted to the alleged medical report of niece, Sophia Momodu being released to the media by Davido which showed she tested positive for cannabis and marijuana. Coincidentally or maybe planned Davido, went on Snapchat and claimed that Dele Momodu told someone he was going to set him up.

He however, laughed off the threat whilst advising Sophia to stay away from her Uncle.

Sacked Abia governor heads to Supreme Court – See Notice of Appeal inside

 

The Peoples Democratic Party, Abia state chapter has rejected the judgement of the Court of Appeal sacking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

In a statement issued by Governor Ikpeazu’s Senior Special Adviser on Public Communications, Sam Hart, the party expressed it decision to challenge the judgement of the Appeal Court and has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court to this effect.

The Supreme Court has until March 2, 2016 to decide the matter in line with the amended Electoral Act. See copies of Appeal notice after cut...

Cojoined twin delivered by young Fulani Nomad woman in Bauchi needs help

 

Conjoined twins have been born to a young Fulani nomad woman in Bauchi State.

The twins were born at home in in Tondo of Miya in Ganjuwa Local Government Area and brought to the ATBU Teaching Hospital in Bauchi. Their mother Adama Sani is young and poor, therefore she needs all the assistance she can get.

Local hunters appeal to join military fighting Boko Haram in Sambisa Forest

Hunters in Borno State on Sunday called on the military to allow them to join in the war against insurgents in Sambisa Forest, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Malam Mai-Gana Mai-Durma, the Borno Emir of the Hunters, made the appeal in Maiduguri while addressing newsmen.

Mai-Durma said that the call became imperative because the hunters were familiar with the terrain at the dreaded forest, the hideout and operational base of the terrorists.
