Is it true that If you walk into an Abia Hospital healthy, you may leave Sick?

According to Alex Otti, when intelligent people refuse to participate in politics, they take away the right to complain when fools lead them.

The former MD of Diamond Bank resigned his job to vie for the post of Governor of Abia state, and ever since his misadventure with the PDP, Otti has decamped to the All Progressives Grand Alliance party to pursue his political ambition.

During a recent media parley with journalists in Lagos, the man who hopes to govern Abia state, accused incumbent governor, Theodore Orji of trying to intimidate the opposition by sending thugs armed with stones and explosives to disrupt his rallies in the state.
While saying that 80% of Abians live on less than 1 dollar oer day, Otti lamented the fact that Nigeria’s infant mortality rate is highest in Abia.

The former bank boss also bemoaned the deplorable state of health and education sectors in the state, adding that the level of the latter is substandard, while saying of the former, “If you walk into an Abia state general hospital healthy, you may leave their sick.”

Otti said that if elected, he would create ‘Ministry in charge of Aba affairs’, which will oversee the commercial city. He said: “By fixing Aba, we can create many jobs”.
While saying he wasn’t bitter with Governor Orji, the APGA aspirant stated that governance in the state needs to be upgraded. “I’m not fighting Governor Theodore Orji. We simply need to elevate the level of leadership in the 21st century.”

Otti affirmed that although voting in Abia state has a reputation of being flawed, this time around the votes will count.
He said: In the past, there was no opposition but this time around, people will protect their votes. They do not want continuation of the rot in the state. The vote will count for a change,” he said.
Speaking further, he complained about the level of intimidation and violece being perpetrated on his campaign by his opponents, while also accusing the state governor of cloning military and police apparels.

Otti added: I am the popular candidate so there’s no need to resort to violence. This is a government of blackmail but we will not succumb to intimidation. The governor is sewing fake army and police uniforms in the government house and also importing arms.”
