Embattled Ikpeazu obtains Restraining Order against Ogah's Swearing-In

The sacked Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has obtained a restraining order from an high court against the swearing in of Uche Ogah, the second runner-up in the 2015 PDP governorship primary in the state.

Justice  Okon Abang of the Federal high court, Abuja, had on Monday, June 27, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue Ogah, a certificate of return after he held that Ikpeazu was not fit to be governor.

The restraining order came after an ex parte application filed by Ikpeazu against the ruling of a federal high court in Abuja removing him from office.

Ogah was listed as first defendant in the application; INEC as second defendant, and the chief judge of Abia state as third defendant.
