Months after
the 49-year-old pop superstar insisted via Twitter that 'If there is a
new project, you'll hear it from my lips,' a video from Janet made that
announcement.
'I
promised you'd hear it from my lips and now you will,' began the video
released Friday that announced new music and a world tour coming within
the year.
Since
her marriage to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana in late 2012, Janet
has taken a partial break from the entertainment business.
Although
she hinted at a new album - her 11th collection of original music -
back in May 2013, Janet had not yet followed up with a definite
announcement. It was not until the video on Friday, however, that Janet released definitive news.
