47 Boko Haram immates allegedly sneaked into Ekwulobia Prisons despite Protest


Over the weekend, rumours of the relocation of 47 Boko Haram suspects to Ekwulobia Prisons in Anambra, resulted in mass protests by traders and youths.

According to Vanguard the 47 insurgents were sneaked into the prison in the middle of the night of Sunday, June 28.

The report further stated that those whose relations are serving sentences in the Ekwulobia prison have been frantic and worried over the matter.

While Governor Willie Obiano, is said to have gone to Abuja to meet President Buhari over the matter. The relocation of the Boko Haram prisoners may put their relations there at great risk.
