After waiting for about two weeks, Bello appointed Hon. Simon Achuba as the deputy governor of the state.
Achuba filled the vacuum after Hon. James Faleke, the running mate to
the late Prince Abubakar Audu, refused to accept the position of deputy
governor, saying he ought to be the governor.
He is an indigene of Ibaji local government area, though unconfirmed
reports have it that he is originally from Aguleri in Anambra state.
hmmm!
Following his screening
and confirmation by the Kogi State House of Assembly, Simon Achuba, has
been sworn in as the Deputy Governor of the state.
