The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) family woke up on Wednesday with
the sad news of the sudden death of its Head of Protocol, Ibrahim
Abubakar.
Abubakar, 43, was murdered by armed robbers in his home at Kado Estate near Gwarinpa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
“He was full of life when he left the office yesterday (Tuesday). The Federation has lost a dedicated and ssiduous staff. This is so painful,” said a traumatised NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi yesterday.
‘Ibro’, as he was fondly called, joined the Nigeria Football
Federation in 2007. He will be buried later on Wednesday at his
residence in Kaduna, according to Islamic rites.
